I am a dedicated and engaged Cell and Molecular Biologist/Assay Development scientist with more than eight years of pharmaceutical industry experience. I am currently an R&D Project Manager at Leica Biosystems, where I am involved with transferring the production of 13 products manufactured at a plant in the United Kingdom to our local facility, while ensuring uninterrupted supply of the products to the customers. Previously, I was involved developing new assays for the novel PLEX-ID technology, including performing verification and validation studies to support their launch and the launch of the instrument. I also drafted protocols for new assays, as well as records and summary reports of the experimental results. I also developed in vitro assays to test antibodies to novel cancer targets. Maintaining accurate and updated records of vital reagents was of utmost importance. Excellent oral and written communication skills were also necessary when presenting data in group meetings, and in my previous positions to effectively communicate my instructions to the student employees and students in laboratory classes.
I am looking forward to advancing my career in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry as a scientist in research and development. I am also interested in further exploring other areas of the industry, such as Quality Control, Technical Support and Manufacturing/Operations.
