You would work under the administrative supervision of the Battalion Executive Officer, receiving regulatory and procedural guidance on significant deviations or situations to which existing guidelines cannot be applied from a higher graded specialist. You would have technical functional authority for all security clearances required by Military
Occupational Specialty (MOS) responsible for the acceptance, review, validation and
approval of all appliants requests for Secret and Top Secret clearances prepared and processed at the MEPS using a variety of electronical methods for processing intial entry submissions to the appropriate investigating agency.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with personnel security programs, methods and procedures, we well as utilizing office automation equipment in order to make determinations on whether
or not to move forward obtaining personnel security clearances. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities)in the following areas:
· Knowledge of Personnel Rules, Regulations and Procedures
· Ability to Establish Priorities
· Ability to operate electronic office equipment
· Ability to Communicate Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education r the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:Successful completion of 1/2 year (9
semester hours) or more graduate education at an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Information Security or a related descipline.
OR
A combinated of education and experience as described in the Qualifications area.

Other Requirements:
-If you are male AND if you were born after December 31, 1959, you must complete
a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
-Salary includes local market supplement.
-Further certification from this announcement may take place up to 90 days beyond the closing date of the announcement.
-This is a Career Program 19 position.
-Position requires abnormal work hours to support the completion of the mission which includes many Saturday openings and extended hour support.
-You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
-You may be required to serve one year in a trial/probationary status.
-Direct deposit of pay is required.
