Toby Pochron qualified as a solicitor in January 2013 after completing his training contract at a South Yorkshire firm of solicitors. Toby studied his Law Degree at the University of Keele and his Legal Practice Course in the University of Sheffield. Toby joined the Employment Team in Ironmonger Curtis in July 2013.

Toby has experience in advising employees on discrimination, unfair dismissal, disciplinary hearings and public interest disclosure ‘whistleblowing’ claims. Toby is also a keen advocate and has successfully represented clients in both the Employment Tribunal and County Court. Toby regularly advises on settlement agreements and negotiation of exit-packages for employees.
Toby has experience in advising national Trade Unions in the rail and mining industry. This advice has included disciplinary and grievance representation, TUPE consultations, holiday pay and working time consultations.
Toby also has experience in advising small and medium sized companies on contentious employment claims including defending unfair dismissals, discrimination claims and issuing appeals to the Employment Appeals Tribunal. Toby also has experience in giving non-contentious advice on managing redundancies and drafting policies, procedural documents and contracts of employment.
Toby is dedicated to providing practical, commercial advice and ensures that he has a relationship with all his clients so he can develop an understanding of how their businesses operate. Toby uses his experience of trade union and employee consultations to given effective and pragmatic advice for businesses.
