Harold Lazaro | Chief Guide
Travel Guides
Written by Harold Lazaro     September 05, 2013
I summited Kilimanjaro in Oct 2017 with three of my friends. Our chief guide was Harold. Perhaps one of the nicest men you could ever hope to meet.
From the moment he collected us to the moment he dropped us off he was nothing by courteous, kind and humble. He looked after us exceptionally well, was extremely positive the whole time and adapted to our hiking style and plans which we discussed as we went along. He was clearly highly respected by his team and for good reason.
This man has years and years of experience we calculated that he's probably climbed Kilimanjaro around 400 times - there's nothing he doesn't know.
Honestly I could not imagine doing this climb with anyone else. He's the best.
